Island Living. Grabbing the bull by the horns.

I am on to some new travels away from the island but my heart will remain for sure. I will be back and I will always love Galveston Island. The place I made my first sand castle, first learned to swim, my first sting by a jellyfish, and the place I came back to as an adult. I have lived here for six years now and have planted my feet firmly in the sand since I was a tiny little sea urchin. I plan that I will spend many of my older days here and perhaps even settle to rest eventually.

Until then, I will share my island life and its many amazing moments.

Everybody Love’s a good Steak Night. Unless you don’t eat steak. However for those who do, I’ve gathered up some local Galveston Island restaurants who offer a Steak Night Special.

The West End Restaurant and Sandbar. For those of you who took a sunset walk out in the Galveston State Park. Monday night’s 5-9 because when Monday has just about kicked our ass we need to take it out on some red wine and steak.

Classic M&M Restaurant. Here is a fantastic date night location offering Prime Rib Thursday’s because we are ready for the end of the week and yet the weekend is still too far away. Again, red wine and steak can fix all of that.

Press Box, a very local favorite with some dark and comfort. That night when it’s time to just feel some comfort and a sportier look. While they always offer a selection of steak on the menu often you walk in to find the bartender letting you know right away what special is due that particular night nd you fall on a night when the steak is even more special priced than it’s already usually low price. Just be ready for some surprise, and good steak regardless of special night or not.

DiBella’s has always been known by local’s for their steak so try them out! Any and Every night! You’ll get an entire different island feel in the area and the restaurant.

Stuttgarden, especially for an indoor or outdoor venue with a nice playful atmosphere. They have Wednesday Night Steak Night’s A full bar and a selection of beer’s and available for $15 you get an entire steak meal.

Other great steak location’s where the price is worth it would include my favorite, Saltwater Grille, across the street the famouse Rudy&Paco’s, Brick House on the Seawall, Nono Tony’s and Willie G’s on the Harbor, The Black Pearl in the midst of the Art District, Number 13 a classic place in an off the wall check out other parts of the island location, even us islanders make that trip, Both Tremont Hotel and The Galvez are some Prime places for some Prime Rib with beautiful restaurants located inside, Can’t forget abut our West Wend folks with Nate’s Seafood & Steaks or our East End neighbors with The Porch Cafe, quickly grown to be a local favorite, and SkyBar Seak & Sushi in the middle of Down Town, and San Luis Steak House, so if you are visiting in town and craving seafood, red meat and of course some god wine head to any of these location’s for a sure to have good time.
